Bellydance Classes

Term dates for 2010 classes:

Term 1: 3rd February to 24th March
Term 2: 21st April to 9th June
Term 3: 4th August to 22nd September
Term 4: 13th October to 1st December

  • 8pm Beyond Beginners with Kim
  • 7pm Intermediate with Popi
  • 8pm Advanced with Popi 

Thursday classes have moved to Wednesday 

Cost: 8 week term adults $96, children under 12years $60

Casual class adults $15, children $10

Class levels

Beginners: Basic belly dance technique and terminology is taught. This class is for students who have not taken bellydance classes before. Choreography is taught each term. Veil technique is introduced in week 4.

Beyond Beginners: This class is for those students that have a sound knowledge of beginners bellydance technique.  Layering is introduced to provide a bit more of a challenge.

Intermediate: More challenging technique and combinations, and improvisation skills are introduced.   Students with at least a year of experience in Beyond Beginners can attend this class.

Advanced: Advanced technique is taught as well as utilization of props such as stick, zills, double veil and sword. Students with at least 2 years of experience can attend this class.
